I always appreciate your cultural references and how you relate it all to God. I enjoy going through life knowing that it all connects back to him somehow. Also going to remember the invitation to allow my imminent death to remind me to drop the pettiness.
Yeah, as I indicated, Carlos Castaneda's books are of "dubious veracity." That means at best, he exaggerated his stories, and at worst, he was a fraud. Admittedly, I think a better case could be made for the latter! (I should add that back when I read his books in the 80s, I believed most of what he said. I was sympathethic to his use of peyote for his visions, since I was smoking a decent amount of marijuana!)
Having said all that, it seems he is speaking words of wisdom that accord well with the revelation of Christ we have in the scriptures.
